Upcoming Events
Youth Nights at Bowen Yard - Every last Saturday of the month at Bowen Yard in Winter Haven. This is a free event and showcases two youth bands from ages 12-20 years old in various genres. Each band performs for an hour on the Bowen Yard Stage. Bands usually have merch to sell as well as take tips from the audience!
Genre specific showases - Throughout the year, we host Genre specific nights at multiple venues throughout Central Florida. These are generally ticketed events and cost $10 for shows at the door and on our Eventbrite page. Make sure to follow Holly Cordero on Eventbrite to get the latest updates on shows!
Unconventional Spaces - Our punk series is coming back for the Summer of 2026 and we’re kicking it off in Tarpon Springs at Neptune’s Lounge! We will be all over Central Florida showcasing amazing punk bands in awesome DIY venues and spaces. These shows range in price from free - $10 for admission and are always “NOTAFLOF” (no one turned away for lack of funds)
Wicked Wilds in collaboration with Plant City - Through our partnership with the City of Plant City, our musicians have been able to participate in a local Halloween event where three bands take the stage to perform for 45 minutes in front of a large, diverse audience. Musicians participating are compensated for their time and are also allowed to sell merch at the event as well to continue to promote their band and branding
Kick off of the Career Placement in Music and Live Production Initiative - We are kicking off our new workforce placement program September 1st with internships in live production, event planning, and education across the Central Florida belt. If you’re interested in a position, make sure to apply and sign up now! Professional Development opportunities will be given during this time as well. Make sure to complete all steps of the application process to be accepted!

THe mission
Young Musicians face many barriers to entry when trying to enter the music field. These can be anywhere from sexual orientation, gender identity, race to physical ability. Cordero Music seeks to tear down those barriers and provide all young musicians with the tools to succeed in the music industry.
We offer sponsored private lessons with vetted music coaches. Musicians can take these lessons during their music elective in school (with permission of their teacher), at home, or at the coach’s studio space.
We offer sponsored musical instruments! Musicians who can’t afford a quality instrument must submit an application with essay questions answered and one recommendation letter from a mentor, teacher, coach, or family member. Musicians are then provided with the equipment they need to be successful.
