Career Pathways in Music and Live Production initiative
“To provide leadership and training in different music careers and career pathways to young adults through internships, apprenticeships, job placement, and professional development with industry professionals.”
The Career Pathways in Music and Live Production Initiative bridges the gap from casual performer to career professional for musicians currently involved in our music showcase program as well as recruiting interested young adults who would like to work in the music industry. Through this program, Cordero Music provides hands-on training through multiple concert events and large scale festivals to provide experience in live sound engineering, marketing, social media management, event coordination, promotion, booking management, and event production. Cordero Music also provides classes on these topics with professionals in the field through in person classes as well as online meets to allow access to all participants regardless of transportation. Cordero Music also provides internships and apprenticeships for interested individuals to help them get their first career in their chosen field. After these internships, CM checks in with different businesses that they have previously worked with in the past and built up a professional relationship to find jobs for participants in the CPMLPI. CM follows the career tracks of these individuals and provides guidance for the first 90 days of their job placement to make sure that it is a good fit and successful placement.
If you are an interested young artist looking to get more professional experience in the music industry, check out the available positions listed here. You will need to submit a resume and cover letter (no AI please) to be considered. We will schedule a short online interview (video conferencing) to make sure you are a good fit for the position. If you have experience in that field already because of volunteer work or classes at school, please make sure to highlight that in your cover letter! If you don’t have a lot of experience but this is something that you’re passionate about pursuing, share that in the cover letter as well! This is to get to know you better! There are links to apply underneath each job description.
